Your privacy is of critical importance to us. This privacy policy document details what type of information is processed, transmitted, or stored by the My Pulse mobile application and website.

1. Local Data Storage (SQLite)

My Pulse is designed to keep your personal logs private. All daily text entries ("pulses") you write are saved directly inside a secure, sandboxed local SQLite database on your mobile device.

  • We do not have access to your local SQLite database file.
  • Deleting the application will permanently delete all local entries unless they have been backed up or shared.

2. Network Synchronization (Real-time Feeds)

When you explicitly choose to share a feed or sync with another device, the application transmits data to our backend server located at https://api.pulse.lorrev.org.

  • Encrypted in Transit: All data sent to and from our backend is encrypted securely using HTTPS (TLS).
  • Selective Sharing: Data is only transmitted when you generate and share a custom feed key or connect to someone else's shared feed.
  • No Advertisements: We do not track you for advertising purposes or share your logs with third-party brokers.

3. Device Permissions

The application requests specific hardware permissions to function properly:

  • Camera Permission: Required solely to scan QR codes and barcodes for adding shared feeds. We do not record, transmit, or store any camera footage.
  • Network Permission: Required to access the internet and fetch real-time updates for your active shared feeds.

4. Data Deletion Requests

Because we do not use logins, accounts, or track personal identities, we do not store persistent user profile records. If you wish to purge your data:

  • Simply clear the application storage/cache or uninstall the app from your mobile device to wipe all local database files.
  • If you have published shared feeds to the server, you can revoke feed access or wait for the standard server retention cycles to clear records automatically.
